CASINO COMMISSION BILL PASSES LEGISLATURE

H.B. 19-95 which clarifies the powers of the Casino Commission heads to the Governor's office for action.  The House passed the the heavily amended measure 10-9 after the Senate addressed the concerns of the Attorney General.  The bill is modeled after New Jersey style casino regulation.  

 

STDs A RISING CONCERN

Public Health officials report 30-40 cases of sexually transmitted diseases each month which is above the national average.

 

STILL CLEANING UP

More than three months after Typhoon Soudelor devastated Saipan, the clean-up continues, especially for the Mayor's Office.
